We have been manufacturing instrument transformers for over 65 years and as such have extensive experience not only in fields of manufacture but research and innovation as well.
All products are result of own experience and development which has led to numerous original solutions persistently aimed towards bringing significant advantage to our customers.
In the 70s, the open core solution was successfully implemented in our inductive voltage transformers. Končar has since then developed the concept and is currently the only manufacturer of such transformers in the world.
In 1992 innovation was once again recognized in our award winning combined transformer design which incorporates the open core benefits and is as unique with its single insulation system.
We have had three technology transfers in the past:
- In 1999, transfer of epoxy resin transformers’ ‘know-how’ was carried out.
- In 2002, capacitive voltage transformers’ ‘know-how’ was transferred.
- In 2006, ‘know-how’ for our high voltage oil-immersed transformers was incorporated to our newly established joint venture plant in China.
