One of the latest developments, started in 2006, the Power Voltage Transformer type VPT is based on the Inductive Voltage Transformer type VPU which brings more than 45 years of both design and sevice experience. The VPT inherits the same open-core concept and all its benefits.
Conceptually a hybrid between a power transformer and an instrument transformer, the role of this type of unit is to convert energy directly from high to low voltage for supply of substations or remote consumers.
Power Voltage Transformers are designed with exceptional longevity and reliability, aiming for at least 50 years of service life.
